ART AND TECHNOLOGY THAT BREATHE NATURE
Volvox Labs (VVOX) is a Brooklyn-based new media art studio that merges the digital and physical to create immersive, story-driven experiences. The studio, led by Michael Luck Schneider, brings together designers, technologists, and artists to reimagine how we engage with space.
Inspired by nature, the studio creates responsive digital-physical ecosystems — environments that move, react, and evolve in real time. Their work spans immersive content, creative tech, responsive architecture, and sound design, with applications across art, music, architecture, and public space.
One of their most notable projects is “IBM Moon Walk,” developed with Ogilvy to mark the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing. Installed at the Oculus at the World Trade Center in NYC, the experience invited visitors to relive the historic moonwalk through immersive, interactive storytelling (2019).
From luxury fashion houses to tech giants, VVOX has worked with significant brands including HBO, Cadillac, Swarovski, Prada, Infiniti, Intel, and IBM.
