INCUBATORS OF STRATEGIES AND IDEAS FOR
THE BRAVE ONLY
DixonBaxi's 10 commandments:
1. Be original
2. Define our own destiny
3. Design for everyone
4. Designing for the whole world
5. Embracing change
6. Be honest with yourself
7. Be independent
8. Being ambitious
9. Work only with the person who decides
10. Answer the phone on the third ring
In 2001, Simon Dixon and Aporva Baxi wrote a list of behaviours for a new kind of design agency and DixonBaxi was born. Two decades later, they still follow the commandments to which they once decided to be faithful, with the addition of a mantra: "Be Brave". The law of this London creative agency has attracted many believers who have counted on them for projects as disparate as the revival of KOKO, a legendary live music venue in Camden where artists like Madonna performed in the UK for the first time or being united through the power of narrative to the two most
successful visual effects studios in the industry with Academy Awards for films like Blade Runner 2049 or Interstellar: Double Negative and Prime Focus. Their bold vision of branding has taken them around the world with "Endless Ribbon" projects for Netflix where they redefined brand, content, language in motion and user experience.
From strategy to design. At OFFF Sevilla 2023 they will tell us more about their “always in beta” mentality and how they connect the dots between how the brand manifests in the real and digital world, and how people navigate and use it.
