From the real world to the CG world

This workshop will introduce the idea of thinking about CG from behind a camera, using principles used and understood in CG practice, but in the real world. 


Removed from computers and screens, we’ll play with lenses, lighting and get in close on textures to explore form and composition and collectively think about planning scenes and sequences with cameras, capturing the process as we go.

Found Studio define their work as a combination of "the artistry of a boutique studio with the precision of a production company to achieve exquisite work". They do this through experimentation in visual storytelling, fusing 3D motion design with craftsmanship and film technology to create imaginative, innovative and impactful content.

Their interest in overcoming the fine line that separates the digital image from the real one is reflected in the workshop they will give at Offf Seville 2021, in which they propose that students play with real objects, lenses, lighting and cameras to create a sequence of CG images.

'Amantes': How to approach relationships with brands and partners 

Soon in Tokyo are based on the concept of 'Amantes', an ode to collaboration - ephemeral, intense - as the only way to the extraordinary. 

In this workshop they will show us how to select, manage and obtain memorable results in projects where collaboration is the fundamental tool.

Non-media by nature and guided by deep strategic thinking and careful art direction, Soon in Tokyo is an independent agency formed by a multicultural team working from Barcelona on local and international projects for brands and institutions such as Away, Nike, Reebok, Lost & Found, Boboli or Sol by Meliá.

Since 2011 they established 'Amantes' (lovers) their open, flexible and intense way of approaching their relationships between brands and collaborators. An ode to the practice of collaboration as a modus vivendi and the certainty that it is the only way for something extraordinary to happen. And this is what they will show us in the workshop they will be giving at Offf Seville.

Illustrated portraits: a world of possibilities

Illustrator Mercedes deBellard will teach us in this workshop how to create a portrait from scratch in digital format. How to face the blank screen in order to capture the personality of a character.

She will raise the questions that are important when it comes to fitting and colouring and how to add elements that add interest to the drawing, which will then be adapted to the chosen format.

Mercedes deBellard's portraits have travelled the world: from Joe Biden and Donald Trump for The Washington Post's 2020 US election special to portraits of the stars of the legendary series Friends, Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow for Variety Magazine. 

In his portraits, the experience, and especially the gaze, are the elements that give personality to his characters, and it is of vital importance, especially if they are well-known personalities.
